Giallo Dozza is not your usual rugby team. Its team members are all inmates of Bologna’s penitentiary. Max is their coach and he is a tough one. He wants only the best from his team. Therefore, he pushes his men hard. Real hard. He does not only want the best from them on the field. He wants that they turn a big page in their lives and get ready for a new shot at life once they are outside the prison walls. His team is made of people coming from all over the world. Different religions, different languages, different habits. Max’s job is to build a team with men who never thought of themselves as being part of something, let alone society. But when Max must suddenly leave his coaching job, the team faces its toughest challenge: how to go on without Max? Will the players understand how to overcome their differences and work as a team? Enza Negroni directs a muscular film with an exquisitely feminine sensitive touch. Even tough guys like Robert Aldrich and Burt Reynolds who made together a classic like The Longest Yard would be pleased with her job.
