Listening, observing, touching, tasting. Moving through a space that is still pristine, undomesticated, that of the state of nature. He is there to reconnect with that state, she is doing a course on edible wild plants, another woman regrets spending her days in front of a computer... About 15 of them have set off for a week, with their rucksacks, to walk in the forest, to reflect alone or together on their existence constrained by a highly toxic consumer society. Step by step, Carole Messmer follows these temporary nomads in detox, who teach themselves to survive with only the resources found in the woods: gathering in baskets made from rushes, meals taken around the fire in plates improvised from barks, bivouacs under the stars on a carpet of moss... The camera, tactile, films the hands that feel around, the bodies that are relearning freedom of movement, another relationship to time, a handful of humans who are experiencing the principles and limits of a frugal life in a community, who talk about it and dream of autonomy in a world from which they feel estranged.
