Rio Ave Valley, Portugal. We flow down the river, through one of the most industrialized areas of the country. While ghosts of both far and recent past appear, we are confronted to the perception of a fragile present. A factory could easily become a somewhat haunted skate park, while a guitar player sings a single note mantra. The only certain thing seems to be that the river will always reach the sea.

Rio Ave Valley, Portugal. We flow down the river, through one of the most industrialised areas of the country, which went through all the steps of exploitation of both nature and men. We meet the many characters who still inhabit the river and who carry its stories. Personal stories and stories of work, alienation and power struggle, merge with an ethereal depiction of the spaces where they might have happened. In this temporal clash, while ghosts of both distant and recent past are evoked, we are confronted with the perception of a fragile present, made of relocations, ruins and uncertainty. A factory could easily become a somewhat haunted skate park, while a guitar player sings a single note mantra. The river becomes a possible mirror of our civilization. The only certain thing seems to be that the river will always reach the sea.
