Films Plans-Fixes « Gil Roman. Je viens de la danse, je viens de là »

After having already celebrated its 30th birthday at Visions du Réel, the Association Plans-Fixes will once again be blowing out candles, 40 this time, at the Festival this year, and will take the opportunity to present two portraits.
Gil Roman has been directing the Ballet Béjart Lausanne with a deft hand for 10 years. In an interview with Patrick Ferla, he evokes his childhood memories, recounts his beginnings in dance, the encounter with Maurice Béjart whose successor he would become, and shares his admiration for the immense body of work left behind by the great master and his own vision of ballet which reveals itself through his choreographies.
