Edited from black and white shots taken by four photographers from the Vu agency, Stéphane Breton’s last film plunges us into an awakened reverie, in search of a contemporary Nadja (André Breton). Chère humaine is more than a play on words worthy of an exquisite cadaver. Rather the sensual and trivial fugue of an anthropologist who assumes the costume of the Corsaire Sanglot pursuing fantastic versions of Louise Lame through the streets of Paris.
