Anis Lassoued sketches a portrait of Mohamed, an unemployed graduate who is, above everything else, a citizen. After choosing to dedicate himself to politics, he finds himself on a path marked by ups and downs, at a time in Tunisian history when its citizens are being confronted with heady and dizzying possibilities. A film that talks of faith in democratic values and the struggle to attain this democracy.

Anis Lassoued sketches a portrait of Mohamed, an unemployed graduate who is, above all, a citizen. After choosing to dedicate himself to politics, this native of Kasserine – which was already a symbolic city in many struggles and revolts in the past century – finds himself on a path marked by ups and downs. At this time in Tunisian history, when its citizens are being confronted with heady and dizzying possibilities, the question is: what do we do with the solidarity, strength and hope that were shared so intensely by the united people during the revolution, after the revolution? It is through joining a political party that Mohamed seeks to turn the ideas of civil responsibility and citizen consciousness – these foundations that cannot be separated from the rebuilding of a country – into actions. Through its protagonist, the film talks of faith in democratic values and the struggle, both individual and collective, to attain this democracy. This means a journey through conviction, sharing ideas but also disillusion.
