A work of youth, this filmed letter uses static shots or scenes aboard an ‘old-fashioned’ train traversing the Chicago Loop to explore American banality. The vertigo of a descent into hell, a sense of losing one’s grip on a world which, at this very moment, represents the only tangible reality to film during a stay in the empire of brand names and happy consumerism.
