As part of the partnership between the Geneva University of Art and Design and the RTS Archives, students specialising in editing take possession of the archives in order to create films around the notion of “struggles”. They give their point of view on what is expressed by the struggles of yesterday, today and those of tomorrow.

As part of the partnership between the Film Department of the Geneva University of Art and Design and Radio Télévision Suisse’s archive department, students in the editing option take possession of the archives to create films around the notion of “struggles”. Are the struggles of yesterday the same as those of today? How can the archives be reclaimed to write a new narrative without betraying their initial meaning? From the resistance of alternative cultural spaces in the 1990s to the evolution of feminist actions, via anti-racism demonstrations, movements to occupy public spaces or even ecological activism, students cast their gazes on what the struggles of yesterday, today and tomorrow have to tell us.
