California City

A man drives across the Mojave Desert, meditating on solitude and love. His job is to remove all the insects from swimming pools abandoned by their owners… On the boundaries between documentary and fiction, California City is an enchanted filmic essay, an existential quest whose backdrop features the economic crisis and mosquito hunting, with a post-apocalyptic western décor.
