Ghariba is a playful, moving portrait of some women in Morocco. Blending reality TV, home video, and ethnographic film, its intimate, whimsical style uses digital manipulation to both heighten and unsettle its subjects’ self-presentations. They speak of love, desire, friendship, loneliness, and community, all set against the fear of aging.
