Philbert Aime Mbabazi
Switzerland, 28 min
World premiere

Philbert Mbabazi is failing to talk to “the old people” about colonisation. This is when he meets an individual in Geneva who claims to be the son of Marshal Mobutu and has himself filmed clad in an African mask. There begins a game of role-playing and truculent palavers worthy of the novels of Ahmadou Kourouma, which transforms “the age of independences” into an uncertain legend embodied by fictional characters.
