“The house: the temple of family communion, frozen since the death of the father. A space where we are convinced we can stop time and save something of our family, our childhood; save fragments of a lifetime. The film seeks to capture the point at which the period of mourning ends, the point at which we open the blinds and allow light to flood into the room. When life begins again. […] With my mother and brother, I wanted to conjure up, in this kitchen at rest, around an accordion, a seahorse or a box of beetles, the events this house had witnessed.
