Once the most famous spa town of the Soviet Union, Tskaltubo turned into Georgia’s largest refugee camp after the war in Abkhazia. Thirty years later, the government seeks to restore its former glory, relocating most displaced families to new housing blocks on the city’s edge.
The film follows the last residents of one sanatorium. Gia stays for his cats, Nunu for her plants and the fragments of nature she tends. In these small rituals they have built not only a home but also a family — bound together by memories, resilience, and the hope of one day returning to Abkhazia. To leave would mean to abandon the sanatorium, and with it, their last connection to the idea of home.
