Pauline Black is the living embodiment of the 2-Tone music movement, whose distinctive songs helped shift British society towards embracing diversity, embodying a whole new ethos of anti-racism, anti- sexism and gender politics that we still strive towards today. Her band, The Selecter, had a unique sound and energy defined by Pauline's inimitable voice and performance. Like their peers in the 2-Tone movement, The Selecter was a reflection of youthful working-class life in Thatcher's Britain. Their music was alive with social contradiction and abundant energy, delivered as social reportage. They championed a multi-cultural society long before the rest of the country caught up with this new idea.

This is a highly cinematic and visceral documentary that uses intimate
actuality, archive and interviews to create an immersive, authentic and
up-close & personal experience for the viewer. Featuring previously
unseen archive from the era and a storming soundtrack,
