Corps à Coeur

In the picturesque village of Mazan in Southern France, known for the Gisèle Pélicot rape case, the ‘Lucky Horse’ farm offers free horse therapy to women rebuilding their lives after domestic and sexual violence. Corps à Cœur, which translates to ‘Body to Heart’, follows Nathalie, Priscilla, and Latika, three women at different stages of healing, guided by their facilitator, Manon. Through intimate encounters with horses, they learn to reclaim trust, confidence, and a sense of belonging within their own bodies. Interweaving the women’s testimonies, poetic reflections, and the language of nature, the film evokes a sensory and symbolic journey from fragmentation toward healing. Corps à Cœur explores the after more than the before, looking at the complex act of rebuilding, of learning that the body, once broken, can once again become a home.
