In the waiting room of an isolated railway station, individuals sleep soundly while waiting for their train. Sergei Loznitsa’s static camera tenderly lingers on these lethargic, inaccessible bodies, deeply immersed in themselves. Anonymous and silent, they seem to embody a form of self-sufficient, underground life, inaccessible to the oppression of power.
