Seventeen

In their final year at Muncie's Southside High School, a group of seniors hurtles toward maturity with a combination of joy, despair, and an aggravated sense of urgency. Over the course of a year, the filmmakers document the lives of teens, sharing their first experience, their fights and passions. This monumental coming of age in working class America was awarded the Grand Jury Prize Documentary at the 1985 Sundance Film Festival.
