12 October 2025: masked and unidentified agents from US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) seize a man on a residential street in Chicago without a warrant. His neighbours – some still wearing their bathrobes – try to stop the vehicle taking him from leaving their neighbourhood. In the vein of Incident (VdR 2023, Oscar-nominated), which recounted the killing of a man by the police, and employing an approach akin to forensic journalism, Bill Morrison dissects and reconstructs this moment of struggle using a skilful montage of footage from police body cameras as well as the mobile phones wielded by those trying to intervene.
