Having just graduated in filmmaking, Rose is struggling to find her direction in life. The local employment office sends her to help out on a farm. Rising at dawn, she observes, imitates, chips her nail polish, dirties her boots, and learns the names of the cows, without ever losing sight of her role as filmmaker: capturing the world around her as best she can.
