In the summer of 1900, the young Elisabeth, on the verge of entering the orders, is sent home to her family following the sudden death of her sister. From the circumstances of the latter to the behaviour of the local residents, a strangeness pervades this half mystery film, half sensual coming of age with a tinge of Ramuz.
