Jerez de la Frontera, Andalusia; gypsy enclave and birthplace of flamenco. They get together every day at the “Colegio”, a former school converted into a ‘peña’ (club), to sing with hearts ablaze. Adopting a documentary motif that has become almost classic, a film that bears witness to film’s ability to reinvent for ever the perception of a moment: suspended, freed from the weight of the world.
