Rivers Valleys Mountains

In Duisburg-Bruckhausen, the last German rail-rolling mill is shut down. The employees face social decline. Politicians are helpless or turn a cold shoulder in the face of the company’s decision. Only the Unions try to fight the workers’ fate. The film draws a map along acoustic and visual elements carved out by economic and political processes. The closing down of the mill is a silent catastrophe.
