A portrait of an evolving geographical and historic territory. Since 1962, the town of Aubagne has been home to the 1st Regiment, one of the Foreign Legion’s oldest. While the voice-over reveals an epistolary love story that started during the beginnings of the Second World War, the images sketch out a contemporary town, caught between supposed progress and capitalist imperatives. An ingenious essay.
