Haunted

Displaced, tossed about, unresolved. Whilst respecting a sensitive proximity to the protagonists of her film, in Damascus, Beirut or the camps of Lebanon, Liwaa Jazji explores the painful subject of exile and its repercussions: the loss of a household, of memories, of an entire life’s objects. Beyond mere survival is the question of the imperceptible sentiment of belonging and that unfathomable sense of identity.
