Avi Mograbi and his long-time friend Ali embark on a journey to a land that existed before borders were created. A world that existed, even though most of the people and especially politicians pretend it never did. A world where communities were not divided along religious lines. With a light hand held camera, Mograbi continues to question the history of Israel. Everything is still possible.
Avi Mograbi and his long-time friend Ali embark together on a journey to a land that existed before borders were created. A world that really existed, even though most of the people and especially politicians pretend it never did. A world where communities were not divided into religious and ethnic communities. Where people lived together. Avi and Ali’s adventure in the creases of time begins with their own histories. While recalling their first memories of this past era, they realise they share a lot and recognise what they have lost along the way. As they walk across the land that belongs to them both, they discover once again all the places they have never stopped yearning for. So they continue sharing stories and memories while the reality of their surroundings tells a different story. But the land is still there and so are the people. Therefore everything is still possible. Avi Mograbi’s film is a poignant and touching recollection of a different time and place that feels like moving inside a time machine. With a light hand held camera, Mograbi continues to question the history of Israel and its legacy.
