A photo exhibition dedicated to the “TTP” series by photographer Hayahisa Tomiyasu
Visions du Réel is dedicating an exhibition this year to the TTP series by Japanese photographer Hayahisa Tomiyasu, which will be held from 18 April to 28 May at the Théâtre de Grand Champ in Gland.
Jury 2026

Discover the Opening and Pre-opening films of the 57th edition
The 57th edition of Visions du Réel will open on 17 April 2026, in Nyon, in the presence of Oscar-winning filmmaker Laura Poitras.The official ceremony will be followed by a screening of Cover-Up, the filmmaker’s latest film. The pre-opening, hosted by the City of Nyon and Visions du Réel, will take place on 16 April. On this occasion, Giulia Montineri will present her film #SainteJulie in world premiere.
VdR–Industry 2026 Projects

Focus 2026: Meriem Bennani
Visions du Réel is delighted to present a special focus on the Moroccan artist Meriem Bennani to mark the Swiss premiere of her film Bouchra, co-directed by Orian Barki.

En collaboration avec Cinelux Genève, Retrouvez Le chant des autres, réalisé par Vadim Jendreyko (VdR2024) le 18 mars à 18h45. Projection suivie d’une discussion en présence du réalisateur et de Jean Perret.

Special Guest 2026
Visions du Réel is privileged and honoured to announce that the eminent Ukrainian filmmaker, Sergei Loznitsa, will be the Special Guest at the 57th edition of the Festival.
VdR on Tour: Wider than the Sky
Wider than the Sky, une invitation à explorer les multiples facettes de l’intelligence artificielle, sortira dans les salles de cinéma romandes dès le 11 mars 2026. Réalisé par Valerio Jalongo, le film a été présenté en première mondiale en Compétition Nationale lors de l’édition 2025.
Industry Special Guest
Laura Poitras will be the Special Guest at the opening of the 24th edition of VdR–Industry! Her most recent film will be screened as part of the Official Selection.

Guest of Honour 2026
Visions du Réel welcomes Kelly Reichardt as Guest of Honour of its 57th edition. The filmmaker will take part in the Festival through a Masterclass, a Retrospective, a Carte blanche and a preview screening.
