2022, Mexico, 118 min
The documentary is constructed through three stories: The first one revolves around a familie who visit the fountains at the Tlaxoaque Plaza in Mexico City during the easter holidays, as a recreational altenative for people who are unable to travel outside the city. The second story is about the vacation period through the point of view of the native people of Puerto Aventuras, who work primarily in the tourist sector and face the prohibition of their access to the beaches, forcing them to find recreational alternatives outside of these. The third story is an exploration revolving around the effect that violence has on the leisure time of the people of Ciudad Juarez. This sequence indulges in the memory of three women who work manufacturing jobs, who recall how, during the period of most recorded violence in the history of their city, were forced to abandon every recreational activity they partook in at public spaces, and had to find alternatives within their homes.
