In 2017 she created WALDEN, a space for documentary creation. She has been a member of the World Cinema Fund (Berlinale) since 2011, and works as a tutor for Eurodoc, Torino Film Lab, Visions du Réel, DocMontevideo and DocSP.

Qutaiba Barhamji, born in Damascus, is an award-winning film director and editor. He has worked on over 50 films in 22 languages, with his work showcased at prominent film festivals like Cannes, Sundance, and Venice. These include Little Palestine, Diary of a Siege (2021), How to Save a Dead Friend (2022), Smoke Sauna Sisterhood, which won Best European Documentary in 2023, and the Oscar-nominated documentary Four Daughters (2023), which earned L’Œil d’or at Cannes Film Festival. As a director, his debut documentary, Gevar’s Land, was screened at IDFA, Cinema du Reel, and Doclisboa, winning l’Étoile de La Scam in 2022. Qutaiba also serves as an editing consultant and trainer for IDFA Project Space, DFI Qumra, and Eurodoc. In addition, he has served as a juror at various festivals and funds, including the Sundance Documentary Fund, IDFA Bertha Fund, and AFAC, among others.

Isabela first started working in film as an assistant editor in Brazil in the late 80s. In 1990, she moved to New York, where she graduated in Liberal Arts with a major in Film Studies at the New School for social research, while at the same time continuing to work as an assistant editor in films like Poison (Todd Haynes) and Swoon (Tom Kalin). Her first feature, Madame Satã, shown at the “Un certain Regard” section of the Cannes Film Festival was followed by other fiction films. In 2014, a film she edited, Karim Ainouz’s feature Praia do Futuro, was shown in competition at the Berlin Film Festival. In 2015, Desde Allá, by Lorenzo Vigas, got the golden lion at Venice film festival. Isabela just finished editing two feature length fiction films, Marianna Brennand’s Manas and Mariana Rondon’s Zafari.
