Strangers

In 1920, Robert Flaherty filmed the Aran Islands and the difficult existence of its inhabitants. Now another filmmaker ventures to the same place, to be carried away by its wild nature, its silence, its ruins, and its people, who still have the energy that characterised them a century ago. There are hints of surrealism here and there. The wind soars over everything, between the sky and the Irish Sea.
