Lights Out

In the menagerie in the Botanical Gardens, one of the oldest zoological parks in the world, the caged animals rub shoulders with their doubles fixed onto carousels that entertain the children. Once the gates close, just before the lights go out, Benjamin Rifflard captures a dreamlike state of nature and offers a meditation on the inescapable disappearance of life.
