The film follows the inspiring journey of a group of village girls as they challenge deeply ingrained societal norms and the stifling grip of patriarchy through their passion for cricket. Set in a rural community of Punjab in India where girls are often limited by traditional gender roles, the film sheds light on the powerful resilience of these young athletes who aspire to break free from their prescribed futures.

In the face of familial expectations, societal judgment, and limited resources, Akash along with others, practice tirelessly, hoping to get selected for their district teams and make their way up to the top. Not only they have to navigate the challenges that come from pursuing professional sports but also their own society and traditions.

In their journey, a local police officer and his family have put everything on line, hoping the future will be different for them.
