For the Christmas season, Visions du Réel invites you to share a magical family moment with Le Chant des forêts, the new film by Vincent Munier, director of The Velvet Queen (La panthère des neiges; Christmas film 2023). These special screenings, offered by the Cinémas Capitole Nyon, Théâtre de Grand-Champ, the City of Gland, the City of Nyon, and Visions du Réel, provide a bright pause in the heart of winter! After La Panthère des neiges (The Velvet Queen), Vincent Munier invites us into the heart of the Vosges forests. It was here that he learned everything from his father Michel, a naturalist who spent his life observing the woods. Now it is time for them to pass on this knowledge to Simon, Vincent’s son. Three perspectives, three generations, one shared fascination with wildlife. We join them as they discover deer, rare birds, foxes and bobcats. Occasionally, we witness the wingbeat of a legendary creature: the capercaillie.
