From the confines of her home in England, a young filmmaker embarks on a quest to track down an old friend who disappeared years ago in Japan. With the internet as her only resource, she stumbles upon “The Inquirers”, a website full of souls looking for lost people, just like she is. As she gets closer and closer to finding him, she finds herself asking, why is it so hard to forget about some people, and why is it often necessary to let them go? Through the relationships she begins to develop online, the filmmaker’s personal quest transforms into an attempt to understand and redefine our relationship to those from our past.
