Nine Lives

Alexandra, an exuberant octogenarian, lives in her utterly kitsch Bucharest apartment, together with her three cats, a television and a telephone. As the title of the film suggests, she seems to believe she has nine lives as in the popular saying reserved for felines. Laughing at herself and at the world, this rebellious old lady gives free rein to her fantasies under the gaze of a complicit camera.
