Nach dem Tod ihres Vaters durchstreift Lilo die Zürcher Allmend, ein Naherholungsgebiet am Stadtrand. Dort hatte ihr Vater die längste Zeit seiner letzten Lebensjahre verbracht. Auf der Suche nach seinen Spuren lauscht sie der Landschaft, skizziert die Natur und begegnet den Menschen, die dort regelmässig spazieren gehen. Eine einfühlsame Auseinandersetzung mit der Trauer, die sich entschlossen auf die Seite des Lebens schlägt.

After her father's death, Lilo wanders through Zurich's Allmend, a common public space located on the outskirts of towns in German-speaking Switzerland. It was where her father spent most of his time during the last years of his life. Searching for traces of him, she wanders between highway, river and grassy expanse, between the noise of traffic and the rustle of wind in the trees, listens to the landscape, sketches nature and its inhabitants, meets regular walkers and records the thoughts that cross her mind. Here, the work of grief is done not in withdrawal, but in the attempt and desire to reach out to others. It takes place through the exploration of a territory, which is also a realized utopia of commonality – modest yet very real, shared and to be shared, available and to be imagined. We look for traces of the loved one who has passed away in others and in the landscape. Elements emerge quietly. Field notes become stories, between documentation and imagination, between absence and presence. The creation of an open cinema, like a space to explore, where the intersection of viewpoints becomes collective attention.
