As a child MEL is given into the care of a sect. Her schizophrenic mother couldn't look after her, her father, a professional photographer, was not interested her. She flees from the sect, finds herself placed in a boarding school far away from home in the mountains. She escapes again, ends up in Zurich’s squatters’ and drug scene at the beginning of the eighties. She is not yet sixteen when she starts dealing drugs which she smuggles from Amsterdam. Her unconventional sexually, her playful openness for pornography, stands in contrast to brutal experiences. MEL was raped, had to fight for her life in the dark corners of the cities. She survived, finding a pathway to herself through bondage, tying to a form of personal self-realisation. MEL is a contemporary witness. A sharp-witted ironic observer, whose experiences range from drugs, cocaine driven hedonism, pornography, places like Barcelona and Amsterdam to a self-determined underground life.
