On Thursday 12 November, Documentaire sur grand \u00e9cran and Visions du R\u00e9el invite you to the Forum des images in Paris to discover two award-winning films from the Festival\u2019s 2026 edition.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As part of Doc&Doc, discover two award-winning films from the 57th edition of the Festival: From Dawn to Dawn (La Nuit de l\u2019enfance)<\/a><\/em> by Xisi Sofia Ye Chen and Alea Jacarandas<\/a><\/em> by Hassen Ferhani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where does the desire to make films come from? In Xisi Sofia Ye Chen\u2019s From Dawn to Dawn<\/em>, a brother and sister grow up watching the same VHS tapes: one will become a gangster, the other a filmmaker. Years later, cinema offers a way to revisit their shared history and explore their diverging paths. In Hassen Ferhani\u2019s Alea Jacarandas<\/em>, a father becomes the starting point for a more open-ended exploration, a way of embracing the world, its chance encounters and its movements, all the better to reinvent it.
