Visions du R\u00e9el unveils the poster series for its 56th edition (4\u201313 April 2025), the design of which combines the talent of Swiss photographer Nicolas Haeni with the elegance of the graphic design duo Eilean Friis Lund and Alice Vodoz, who are collaborating with the Festival for the third edition.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Since 2020, the visual identity has been split into triptychs of distinct scenes, but 2025 will draw on the flow of a sequence \u2013 a natural echo of cinematic language \u2013 to immortalise a summer toboggan run in a leisure resort in the Alps. The scene is enhanced by a striking, contemporary choice of typography. With no shortage of irony, the photographer takes a joyously irreverent look at the staging of his father in scenes of \u2018everyday\u2019 life. The Alpine setting, which may appear to be as emblematic of Switzerland as it is inevitably touristy, seems, on the contrary, to exacerbate a tipping point: it becomes a witness to our changing world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this sequence, captured on the fly, the boundaries between the real and the staged, the pleasant and the disconcerting, the comfortable and the unusual are blurred. It is on this subtle interplay of contrasts and perceptions that Visions du R\u00e9el invites you to slide into its 56th edition, which already promises to offer a wealth of sensations and adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alice Vodoz and Eilean Friis-Lund<\/strong>
Alice Vodoz and Eilean Friis-Lund are based in Lausanne, Switzerland, and work in the cultural field. Their approach to design is collaborative, embracing all forms of culture. Fascinated by craft, they explore the notion of tools – both analogue and digital – in the various design and production phases of their projects. Their collaborations include the Swiss Art Awards (2022, 2023, 2024), the emerging art festival Les Urbaines (2020, 2021), the independent art space Tunnel Tunnel (since 2016) and Visions du R\u00e9el since 2023. Their practice includes graphic identity design, publications and books, websites, signage and art direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nicolas Haeni<\/strong>
Nicolas Haeni was born in Switzerland in 1984. After completing his Bachelor’s degree in Photography (2009) and his Master’s degree in Art Direction and Photography (2011), Nicolas works on human sculpture and photography, feeding his obsession with everyday objects by producing images that express his point of view through the material. He brings a sense of humour to everyday routines, happily mixing people and products. He transforms the visual objects to which we are accustomed on a daily basis, plunging us into a highly personal vision of our environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
