In 2026, numerous coveted cash and in-kind prizes will be awarded to projects participating in the official VdR\u2013Industry selection across three key activities: VdR\u2013Pitching<\/a>, VdR\u2013Work in Progress<\/a> and VdR\u2013Rough Cut <\/a>Lab<\/a>.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In collaboration with our Awards Partners, the VdR\u2013Industry Awards are designed to reaffirm our determination to support independent documentary filmmaking in all its diversity. The VdR\u2013Industry Awards Ceremony will take place in the evening of Wednesday 22 April 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eurimages<\/a> Co-production Development Award<\/strong>
\u20ac20,000 <\/strong>in cash, this award has been created to promote the Fund’s role in encouraging international co-production from the initial stages of a project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

visions sud est<\/a> Award<\/strong>
CHF 10’000<\/strong> in cash awarded to the best project from the South (Africa, Latin America and Asia) or from Eastern Europe (according to SDC\u2019s eligibility country list<\/a>) presented at either the VdR\u2013Pitching, VdR\u2013Work in Progress or VdR\u2013Rough Cut Lab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RTS<\/a> Award<\/strong>
A \u20ac10,000<\/strong> RTS pre-buy of one project pitched at the VdR\u2013Pitching showcase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lightdox<\/a> Award<\/strong>
\u20ac3,000<\/strong> in cash awarded to the project with highest international potential at the VdR\u2013Pitching showcase. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Party Film Sales<\/a> Award<\/strong>
\u20ac3,000<\/strong> in cash awarded to the project with highest international potential at the VdR\u2013Work in Progress showcase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IDA<\/a> Documentary Culture Award
$2,000 USD<\/strong> in cash and two passes to Getting Real \u201926<\/a> to a project that embodies a thriving and inclusive documentary culture \u2014 in its making, its vision, and its reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Unifrance<\/a> Doc Award in partnership with TitraFilm<\/a><\/strong>
Subtitles creation (to the value of \u20ac2,300<\/strong>) sponsored by TitraFilm and one Unifrance membership (value of \u20ac1,590<\/strong>) for the French producer attached to the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

T\u00ebn<\/a>k<\/a> Post-production Award<\/strong>
Sound post-production facilities at T\u00ebnk studios (France) including 2 weeks in the mixing studio and 1 week in the Auditorium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No Nation Films<\/a> Fellowship Award<\/strong>
Six Month Fellowship aimed at giving support, guidance, counsel and mentorship to exceptional documentary film teams from around the globe who find themselves grappling with challenges and in vulnerable circumstances for one project in the VdR\u2013Rough Cut Lab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creation of a DCP package for one project pitched at the VdR\u2013Work in Progress showcase. DCP made by Color Grade with capacity to screen a projection in the Mas\u00e9 Studios Atmos Cinema-certified auditorium A (Geneva).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
