OPENING IN GLAND | NATIONAL COMPETITION
Ladies, Stéphanie Chuat, Véronique Reymond – World premiere
They are divorced, widowed or single, having already lived one or several lives, yet having the energy to live others. Even if they have sometimes the feeling, since men have deserted their emotional landscape, that they have become transparent. Stéphanie Chuat and Véronique Reymond have taken the time to listen to and film these women, rarely shown in cinema.

PROGRAMME IN GLAND
A rich programme awaits you at the Théâtre de Grand-Champ in Gland for this new edition. All the films of the section Grand Angle are screened, including the Pre-opening film Anote's Ark (19 April), and Silvana (18 April), follows a Swedish hip hop artist whose music is driven by a committed feminist discourse.
As Projections Spéciales: an exhibition on the 150th anniversary of the journal Le Courrier and the screening of Le Printemps du journalisme (15 April) followed by a debate on the future of the Swiss media, and Eldorado by Markus Imhoof (15 April). In the Latitudes section: the post-revolutionary Egypt unveils through the portrait of a spirited young woman, filmed over six years in Amal by Mohamed Siam (17 April); the subject of agriculture is at the heart of Dominique Marchais' film, No Man Is an Island (19 April), in which he reaches out to members of co-operatives, farmers and architects, from Sicily to the Austrian Alps via the Swiss Grisons.
La Lanterne Magique
Tomorrow morning, little ones and grown-ups alike are invited to the screening of ON S'ACCORDE?, made during an intergenerational workshop bringing together children and adults. Cinema of the real is second to none in terms of approaching the mysteries of music. Via a montage of telling film excerpts, children and adults alike will be all ears and wide-eyed for this unique cinematic exploration. A collaboration between La Lanterne Magique, Pro Senectute Vaud and Visions du Réel, with the support of the Fondation Leenaards. Breakfast offered as of 9:30. Up to age 12: free admission.

Morning Talks | Free admission, open to the public
Every morning, come and meet the filmmakers who presented a film the previous day. The members of the selection committee of Visions du Réel host these daily encounters; informal debates where one is invited to share his/her experiences and film practices.
