The series depicts the life of a Cuban extended family whose members live far away from Havana and governmental structures and, more or less self-reliant, resourcefully master daily life with lots of joie de vivre.
Böffgen regularly visited the family between 2012 and 2017 and uses the narrative form of a documentary soap opera to tell about the concept of community and solidarity, implemented not as a political program, but because of pure necessity.
Music is by a local reggaeton band.
Not an epic, not a judgement. Pure life, in 8 episodes - for now.
