The Enemy

A Cuban health inspector has the thankless task of checking breaches of the island’s hygiene regulations, which are causing a proliferation of mosquitoes. Battling alone against the insects, the insalubrity of the sites and the laziness of her fellow citizens, the woman sets to work… An allegory of a system in decay that causes hollow laughter and finishes in an insanitary apocalypse, like in a SF film from the 1950s.
