Reflex
The Reflex competition, created in 2015 from an alliance between Geneva’s School and Media Service and Visions du Réel, provides a means of measuring the younger generations’ increasingly gratifying mastery of digital media. The challenge involves young people aged 12 to 26 years old, split into three categories, making a 3-minute film on a given theme. The chosen films are then submitted to a professional jury which presents several prizes during the awards evening in Nyon. The public is also invited to vote.
Registrations now come from all over French-speaking Switzerland. They may include school projects or personal initiatives. In 2022, the competition theme is “Simple pleasures”: an opportunity to provide a little lightness and warmth after such a gloomy period.
