Cedric is a farmer. Remaining true to his convictions and at risk of losing the means of supporting his family, he embarks on a more rational cereal cultivation experiment and tries out intuitive and surprising methods far removed from conventional agricultural practices. Over one year of work, the film reveals the fight of a stubborn peasant who is an eternal optimist.

THE DELIGHTS OF TOKYO

Sentaro is not very excited about the idea until he tastes Tokue’s An, a red bean paste so delicious that he hires her on the spot. Naomi Kawase, a great director of documentaries and fiction films presented at the Cannes Festival, takes us on a journey through Japanese cuisine.

BABETTE’S FEAST

The Oscar winner for best foreign film in 1988 follows the fate of Babette who has been exiled to Denmark to escape the repression of the Commune in France. She becomes the maid of two very puritanical pastor’s daughters. One day, Babette wins a large sum of money in the lottery that allows her to go home. To celebrate her departure, she prepares a fabulous feast...

The films will be screened at 8.45 p.m. in the castle courtyard. The event will take place in all weather conditions.
