SIT AND WATCH
by Matthew Barton, Francisco Forbes
Sesterce d'or George, best medium-length film
A fresco of the modern city -- in this case, London -- that adopts the form of a "zapping" revolving around different emblematic situations: the Houses of Parliament, a guided boat tour, surveillance videos, a couple exhibiting their sexual frolics on the internet... A society that stages itself, over-mediatised and dystopian, in which the individual strives in vain to find a place.
