No country deserves to be deemed “the most bombed country in the world”, but if there’s one country that can be considered the least deserving, it’s the small, humble, and ancient land of Laos. For nine years, the United States CIA secretly carpet bombed Vietnam's neighbor more than any country on earth leaving 80 million bombs unexploded (UXO). But this isn’t a war documentary. It’s not about the CIA or U.S. foreign policy or assigning blame一it’s not even about the unexploded ordnance. This is a story about the inspiring humanity displayed through the resilience of the Lao people. Through cinematic, cathartic, human, and nuanced storytelling, audiences will be stunned to find out what the United States swept under the rug and will be empowered to do something about it.
