Apr\u00e8s des ann\u00e9es de visites r\u00e9guli\u00e8res, le r\u00eave de rejoindre les quelques centaines de personnes qui y r\u00e9sident de mani\u00e8re permanente est devenu trop puissant pour y r\u00e9sister. Dans un monde en feu, il est assez tentant de s\u2019\u00e9vader dans un endroit si \u00e9loign\u00e9 de tout, dont seuls les pingouins et les \u00e9ruptions volcaniques peuvent troubler la qui\u00e9tude. La derni\u00e8re en date, en 1961, a provoqu\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9vacuation des habitant\u00b7e\u00b7s de l\u2019\u00eele. Apr\u00e8s un s\u00e9jour forc\u00e9 et \u00e9c\u0153urant \u00e0 Londres, les Tristanien\u00b7ne\u00b7s ont massivement d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de retourner \u00e0 leur paix et \u00e0 leur isolement. Loran les comprend parfaitement, et arrive sur l\u2019\u00eele avec pour remarquable dot un piano. Il embarque alors pour un voyage d\u2019int\u00e9gration et d\u2019acceptation par la communaut\u00e9 autosuffisante. Il travaille dur, recherche de la compagnie et dort, dort \u00e9norm\u00e9ment. Peut-\u00eatre que l\u2019\u00eele Tristan da Cunha que nous voyons n\u2019existe que dans ses r\u00eaves et dans le film que, en tant que sujet, co-sc\u00e9nariste et producteur, Loran Bonnardot a
