In the Javari Valley, a remote jungle of western Brazil, a small group of indigenous people fights for survival. They are living on the edge, resilient survivors of a violent past, facing a wildly uncertain future, the last warriors in a global battle to preserve the precious resources of the Amazon rainforest, the most bio-diverse place on Earth. Hundreds of miles away in Brasilia, the powerful 'ruralistas' ––wealthy land-owners––push for economic development that will deforest the land, pollute the water and could destroy the last refuge of human tribes that are centuries old.
