Feel the love. In September, a whole tribe of people of all colors, shapes and sizes descends on a grass slope in a little known isle of the English Channel called Sark, where a huge white tent then stands. It is the main tent of the Sark Grassroots Festival, or as the locals themselves say, Sark Roots. Three days of ecology and music. Earmarks of the green counterculture, like open use of reclaimed materials, meditation, music and free expression of all the fashions, energy and rituals of the insurgent alternative lifestyles are revealed in this colorful and candid record of a social event and its behind-the-scenes. Written from the perspective of a filmmaker struggling to complete a nature film to honor the spirit of the occasion.
