April 25, 2018 four friends leave for North Korea to accompany one of them, Davide Rossi, essayist, journalist, teacher and member of the Communist Party (Switzerland), who has received an invitation from the Central Committee of the Worker’s Party in Pyongyang. He brings as a gift to the Koreans his latest book, entitled: “The Present-day Relevancy of Marx.”
A cinema crew follows them, the only one authorized to shoot a film in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, which in that particular moment, finds itself living in the excitement of the historical encounter beetween Kim Jung-un and Moon Jae-in for the unification of Korea...
The film follows the four friends in their relationship with people, in their daily confrontation of ideas and opinions on the life of the People’s Republic. ...their journey ends on May 1st in Beijing, where the four friends decide to ask the Chinese what they think about Socialism and Karl Marx.
